Rider Sizing Guide
All saddles are built to order and are configured to fit the needs of each individual rider. Every customer will work with me to ensure the best configuration.
When sizing, it is helpful for me to receive a photograph of the rider in the saddle. The photo should include the entirety of the horse and the rider in profile. The horse should be standing square and the rider mounted as shown. After evaluating the photograph, I will contact you to discuss sizing.
The saddle should feel balanced and supportive, allowing the rider to move, uninhibited, between various postures of forward seat and deep seat.
Flap Position
The bone on the inside of the rider’s knee should rest on the lower 1/2 -1/3 of the knee pad and place the rider’s knee cap close to the front edge of the flap.
Seat Size
The saddle seat size allows sufficient room so that the rider’s seat ends prior to the rise of the cantle.
Flap Length
The bottom of the flap should end 1/3 – 1/2 of the way down the rider’s calf.
